Il Duomo al tempo di Leonardo Il Duomo al tempo di Leonardo

In the context of Leonardo's celebrations, the Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo of Milan asked the LIM to realize a web application based on the IEEE 1599 technology with the aim to allow the integrated navigation of notational and audio contents of a motet by Franchino Gaffurio. The application is part of the exhibition Il Duomo al tempo di Leonardo.

BEIC Music Library BEIC Music Library

The BEIC music section includes the works authored by 149 composers, chosen by analyzing some reference texts to discover their intersections and select the most significant ones. Particular attention was paid to the cataloging of materials, including over 20,000 music pieces. Each composition also contains a link to the score published in the Petrucci Music Library (IMSLP).

Bach Archiv Leipzig requested to apply the IEEE 1599 technology to some pieces of Bach repertoire, in order to build a section of its official Web site presenting advanced dissemination and fruition features. This prototype shows the applicability of IEEE 1599 to music content navigation and synchronization.

This web application is one of the results of "TIVal - Certosa di Pavia", a publicly financed project. After the digitization of the ancient graduals preserved in the church's library, the goal was to exploit and re-live such a musical heritage. This application provides a score follower for Gregorian chant, and its distinguishing feature is to allow the comparison among different kinds of notation, from neumes to Common Western Notation.

Music Thematic Catalogue PRIN 2009 Music Thematic Catalogue

In the context of PRIN2009 financed project, a publicly-available digital library of music themes by Italian composers was released. In addition to the exploration of the full catalog, validated by experts in musicology, the interface supported searches for musical theme, inputed in the form of musical notation.

Archivio Storico Ricordi Archivio Storico Ricordi

The project aimed to let users query data and metadata of the historical archive's music works via the Web. In particular, for each composition the information on composers and productions was entered and linked to a number of digital objects: scores, photos, drawings, stage maps, handwritten letters, etc.

The digitisation project was promoted and funded by the Italian Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities, and it was part of a wider cataloguing and digitisation programme involving the most important Italian musical institutions.

The digitisation of documents adhered to international standards, and the resulting digital documents are available on the Ministry's portal called InternetCulturale.

RAI Studio of Phonology RAI Phonology Studio

In the framework of MiTo Festival 2008, a multimedia digital library accessible via the web was created. The application focuses on works, composers and equipment of the RAI Phonology Studio. Movies, photographs, sound samples and scores coming from RAI archives were collected and cataloged.
