LIM plays a central and long-standing role in education and training in Sound and Music Computing.

The laboratory is the cornerstone of the Bachelor’s degree in Sound and Music Computing and a major contributor to the multimedia curriculum within the Master’s degree in Computer Science. Its faculty members deliver core courses that span foundational theory, advanced technologies, and applied methods in the field. In addition, the LIM supports research-oriented education by supervising and hosting Ph.D. students every year, thereby fostering a continuous pipeline of expertise and innovation.
